Chris and Laura Love Story

When she began her matchmaking journey, Laura was prepared for it to take some time to find the right person for her to build a relationship with. She knew that matchmaking was a process, so she wasn’t too discouraged when neither of her first two introductions turned into a romantic relationship. She knew there were plenty of chances for her matchmaker to hone in on the right man for her. Still, she was nervous to meet her next introduction, and she hoped it would go well

Chris’s nerves were of a different kind. Laura was his very first introduction. He was still getting the hang of the matchmaking process, and he worried that he might do something incorrectly that would hurt his chances with Laura. His matchmaker reassured him that it would all work out, and it was all he could do to be himself and show up authentically. With this encouragement, Chris gave Laura a call.

They talked on the phone for about half an hour, planning their first date and chatting about their day. They decided to meet at a restaurant later that week to get to know one another better, and then Chris and Laura each waited giddily for what would be their last first date ever.

Although their phone call had gone well, meeting in person Chris on her third matchmaking introduction still took Laura by surprise. When they finally met for dinner, Laura was immediately put at ease by how comfortable Chris was to be around. He took time to consider her thoughts and opinions, and he responded insightfully. He had an intelligent sense of humor that left her in stitches. What impacted her most was how much he loved being a dad. Seeing a family in her own future, this was a hugely promising sign that their initial chemistry could grow into a deeper long-term connection.

Chris and Laura decided they didn’t need to meet any other introductions. In the time since they placed their memberships on Happy Hold, they have spent time exploring their connection and building a relationship with one another. We are so excited for these lovebirds, and we can’t wait to see what the future has in store!
