Don and Linda Love Story

Don had never been the kind of guy to sit still. Maintaining his property and his car collection had managed to keep him busy in the years since he’d lost his beloved wife. After nearly 60 years together, Don wasn’t used to being alone. He felt fulfilled by the time he spent with friends and family, but he knew something was missing.

His late wife had been his best friend. Fun-loving and sociable, he missed her conversation and spontaneous spirit. He knew their connection could never be duplicated, but he hoped working with a matchmaker would give him opportunities to feel a romantic spark again. He never expected to meet someone like Linda.

When she came to her matchmaker, Linda was sure she was ready for something serious.

After her first introduction fizzled out, she was more than ready to keep her matchmaking journey moving along. But when she met Don, it was like time stopped.

Looking back on it, Linda couldn’t believe how instantly comfortable she felt with Don. He had so many stories about adventures with his friends, and she loved how outgoing he was. Right away, Don was excited to see more of Linda. Not wanting to rush into anything, Linda agreed to meet another introduction set up by her matchmaker, but she couldn’t stop thinking about Don.

After a couple of dates with her other introduction, Linda decided it was time to trust her gut. She told her matchmaker that she knew Don was the man she wanted to pursue a relationship with, and that she didn’t need to meet anyone else. On the very same day, Don reached out and asked to be placed on Happy Hold with Linda.

Today the two are happily engaged and planning a beautiful Spring wedding. They love hosting family gatherings at their home, and they recently hosted Don’s 80th birthday party. They’re enjoying their days surrounded by family and friends, and they can’t wait to see what life has in store.
