Some love stories are written in the stars. Others, as Gloria and Berge like to believe, are simply meant to be.
Gloria has always embraced life with warmth, curiosity, and an open heart. A compassionate, outgoing woman with a passion for family, faith, and adventure, she fills her days with the things she loves most: spending time outdoors, cooking, gardening, exploring museums, and enjoying everything from classical music to jazz. After experiencing the loss of two husbands, Gloria understood both the joy of loving deeply and the heartache of saying goodbye. Still, she remained hopeful that another meaningful connection might be waiting for her. Looking for Someone Who Understands
Berge was looking for something equally meaningful.

When their matchmaker suggested introducing Gloria and Berge, there were a few details to consider. But as Gloria later explained, there was something even more special between them.
“More than things in common, there’s a bit of a spark.”
Berge felt it, too. So much so that he was already hoping Gloria might be his last introduction.
This Is Who I’m Meant to Be With
What began as one promising date soon blossomed into a relationship filled with laughter, affection, and genuine companionship. The more time they spent together, the more they discovered how naturally their lives complemented one another. Their similar backgrounds, interests, and cultures created a foundation for something lasting, while their shared appreciation for life made every day together feel like a gift.
And their connection only grew stronger.
More than two years after their introduction, Gloria and Berge shared that they were still just as happy together as they had been in the beginning.
“We are thankful every day for the gift of each other,” Gloria wrote. “We are seasoned and grateful for what we share.”

Although they have chosen not to marry, their commitment to one another is unwavering. In fact, Gloria described their relationship as one that continues to feel like the honeymoon phase.
Berge, never one to miss an opportunity for humor, joked that he planned to keep Gloria around for another 25 years. Beneath the teasing was a heartfelt appreciation for the woman who had brought so much happiness into his life.
Both believe their meeting was more than coincidence.
“We believe it was a God moment that brought us together,” Gloria shared.
Living an hour apart and moving in different circles, they recognize how unlikely it would have been for their paths to cross without matchmaking. Yet one thoughtful introduction brought together two people who found not only companionship, but a love grounded in gratitude, laughter, and the joy of simply being together.
Their story is a beautiful reminder that love doesn’t have an expiration date, and that a lasting partnership doesn’t have to follow anyone else’s timeline.
