Someone to Spend Time With

Grace had reached a season of life where she knew exactly what mattered.

Independent, positive, and full of personality, she had built a life she was proud of. Her weekends were filled with simple pleasures: time outdoors, home-cooked dinners, church, and family. But she still hoped to find something: a trustworthy, joyful partner with whom she could share both the everyday moments and the adventures still ahead.

More than anything, Grace dreamed of the little things. Walks after dinner. Holding hands while watching the sunset. Feeling cherished by someone who could be both responsible and playful a true partner who would bring warmth, affection, and positivity into her life.

Harold was looking for a new beginning.

Active, outgoing, and young at heart, Harold enjoys staying busy, spending time with his pets, and getting out on one of his motorcycles whenever he can. After losing his wife, he found himself missing the companionship that comes from having someone special beside you. He wanted more than someone to simply spend time with. He hoped to find a best friend and a lasting partner someone kind, confident, communicative, and ready to enjoy life together.

Then Grace and Harold were introduced.

How to Have a “Perfect” First Date

They met at a coffee shop for what was supposed to be a simple first meeting. Instead, they spent two to three hours talking.

Their first impressions weren’t a picture-perfect movie moment, and that may be what makes their story so special.

Grace noticed that Harold was a little different from the type of man she normally imagined for herself. But she also noticed something much more important. He made her laugh. He listened. He asked thoughtful questions, gave her his full attention, and made her feel comfortable and at ease. Most importantly, they discovered they had a lot in common.

Harold walked away equally intrigued. He thought Grace was kind and engaging and knew he wanted the opportunity to see her again.

So they gave the connection another chance.

Just two days after their first meeting, Harold shared that they were already heading to the movies together. What began with a little uncertainty was quickly becoming something neither wanted to dismiss.

And then, everything changed.

From Introduction to Wedding at the Beach

The more Grace and Harold got to know each other, the more those initial hesitations faded into the background. The qualities that truly mattered laughter, companionship, shared values, attentiveness, and the ability to simply enjoy being together came to the forefront.

Less than two months after that first coffee date, Grace called her matchmaking team with incredible news: She and Harold were engaged.

When asked about their relationship, Grace said simply, “It was a match when we first met.” Harold was right there beside her, and together they confirmed they were happily stepping away from matchmaking to focus entirely on each other.

Now, Grace and Harold are looking ahead to an even more beautiful milestone: a May beach wedding at Dana Point.

Their story is a beautiful reminder that lasting love doesn’t always arrive exactly as we pictured it. Sometimes, the person who surprises you becomes the person you can’t imagine your life without, and sometimes, all it takes is saying yes to one more date to find the love you’ve been waiting for.
