Alamo Drafthouse Cinema $$

The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is a date night unlike any other. Their menu features over 30 beers on tap, featuring only the best craft beers and microbrews. They also have a full menu featuring everything from burgers to salad to fried chicken. And the best part? Whatever you order can be bright right to your seat in one of their 10 auditoriums!

Tickets for you and your date will cost around $12-$18 each, depending on your movie selection. Most food offerings are around $15 each.

The Gramophone $-$$

If you’re looking for a place to bring your furry friends along on your date, come by St. Louis’s coziest dog friendly patio. The Gramophone is a sandwich pub serving STL’s best sandwiches alongside 20 beers on tap and regular live music performances. 

Most entrees are in the $12-$15 range, and most options are available as half-portions.

Broadway Oyster Bar  $$

Bring your date here to enjoy a night at a St. Louis staple. For over 45 years, Broadway Oyster Bar has been serving up New Orleans style favorites in the heart of the city. Musicians take the stage twice a day, so there’s always something interesting going on at B.O.B. Entrees are mostly in the $15-$20 range.

Zia’s “On The Hill”  $$

The slogan on Zia’s’ website is “Very classic. Very Italian. Very good.” We can’t say it better than that. This classic Italian spot is an excellent choice for an intimate, casual, yet elevated dinner date. Zia’s is open for both lunch and dinner. Entree prices are in the $15-$25 range.

Missouri Botanical Garden  $

The Missouri Botanical Garden is a popular destination in the city—and for a good reason! This 79-acre botanical garden is home to twenty different gardens, hundreds of plants, the 9000-square foot Tower Grove House, and so much more. You can spend your day strolling around the garden and viewing the exhibits on-site, or keep an eye on their calendar to attend one of the many events at the botanical garden.

General admission is $16. With proof of residency, St. Louis locals can get that price slashed to just $6.

The Kitchen Conservatory  $$$

With more than 900 classes on offer throughout the year, you and your date are sure to find a new favorite meal together at The Kitchen Conservatory. Classes are available for all skill levels. There are full-participatory classes, as well as demonstration-style classes. Options begin around $50 per person for demonstrations. Tickets sell out quick, so be sure to book your tickets well in advance!

Fabulous Fox Theatre  $$-$$$

For nearly 100 years, the Fabulous Fox Theatre has been bringing the best of Broadway to St. Louis. To make your next date night one to truly remember, come here for dinner at the Stage Left Grille and a thrilling stage production. Ticket prices vary widely based on the production and seats selected, with certain event offerings available for just $10. Most event tickets will begin in the $40-50 range.

St. Louis Zoo  $

Spend the day walking with your sweetheart and seeing everything the St. Louis Zoo has to offer. Ride the Zooline Railroad together and chat while you pass animal exhibits. With over 140 species to visit, this is a great spot for animal lovers and, well, lovers. 

Admission to the zoo is free.

Grant’s Farm  $

A visit to Grant’s Farm brings back fun childhood memories of petting zoos and learning about animals. The experience includes a tram ride past “our bovine and other four-legged friends,” then on to the petting zoo area, where you can bottle feed a baby goat and so much more. After that, check out the free beer tasting and the food and vendor booths. General admission is free, although some special events require purchase of a ticket.

Pieces Board Game Bar & Cafe  $$

There’s nothing more fun on a date than a little flirty competition. Pieces is a casual bar and restaurant with a wide selection of carefully curated board games available to play. You and your date can grab a bite and a drink and play for as long as you like!
