I asked her to be my girlfriend

We met in April. We liked each other so much but she felt her being a Christian could not work with me (since I am not) so we did not go farther. We reconnected recently over my birthday weekend.
We have so much respect for each other. She is incredibly smart and I am blown away by her love letters, the way she speaks, her very affectionate way, and her analytical mind. But that is not everything. Even though I am not church going, I respect that she is, and I support her when she wants to go.
I hope that she said she wants to go on happy hold too. We are going to give it a shot. I asked her to be my girlfriend. We want to give it a chance.
