An immediate connection
The most important thing for me was that I could tell she is a woman of faith. When we met for our introduction, I got there before she did and went in and got us a table. I texted her to let her know they had already seated me and that I had left her name with the hostess so they would know where to send her when she came in.
When C got to the table we began to talk. There seemed to be an immediate connection between us and talking seemed to be very natural. I could tell she was a little reserved at first, but I tend to be the same way. One of the first things she said to me was that I had done what she would have done if she had gotten there first. We talked for 20 to 30 minutes before she even picked up her menu to figure out what she wanted to eat. The time seemed to go quickly and before I realized it, it was 2 hours after we had started to talk. Before we left we had scheduled to go bowling the next night.
I sent her the directions to where we would meet the next night. When we met at the bowling alley we seemed to pick up where we had left off the night before. We took a break from bowling so we could talk better for a little while. After we finished bowling we stood there and talked for another 30 to 45 minutes before she said she was getting tired and probably should go home. Before we left that night I asked her if she would want to continue dating and she said she would.
We have continued to text each other and talk on the phone. We have another date scheduled for this week. I look forward to seeing where this goes. I continue to put this relationship in God’s hands and I ask that if it is what He wants it will continue to grow. I know that God is in control.
