About Couple

Fun Fact: Jeanne and Michael chose to break our program rules 😉, and, before ever meeting in person, talked on the phone every night for nearly a month!

Jeanne has a heart that leads with kindness. Friends describe her as loving, compassionate, joyful, and beautifully down-to-earth, someone whose warmth is felt the moment she enters a room. A devoted woman of faith, Jeanne finds happiness in life’s simplest blessings: baking for loved ones, singing along to country and gospel music, spending time with family, and embracing her childlike joy for life. After being widowed, she spent time healing, praying, and listening carefully for God’s guidance, trusting that when the time was right, love would find its way back to her.

Michael’s journey brought him to matchmaking through a similar path of love and loss. After 50 years of marriage, he lost his beloved wife to illness, a chapter that ended with deep devotion and tender care. Gentle, easygoing, and sincere, Michael never felt drawn to online dating or crowded bars. What he missed most was companionship, sharing conversation, cooking together, quiet evenings, and the simple comfort of being with someone who understands the value of partnership.

When their matchmaker introduced Jeanne and Michael, it was their shared values of faith, family, simplicity, and kindness that stood out immediately. Though distance required flexibility, they were both willing to meet each other with patience and intention.

Before ever meeting face to face, Jeanne and Michael spent nearly a month talking on the phone every evening. Conversation came easily, flowing from stories of family and faith to laughter, memories, and hopes for the future. By the time they finally met in person, it felt less like a first date and more like a long-awaited reunion.

Their first weekend together was everything Jeanne had hoped for: gentle, joyful, and deeply meaningful. It was, as she shared, “the most wonderful weekend I’ve had in a long time.” The connection felt natural and unforced, grounded in mutual respect, tenderness, and gratitude for finding one another at this stage of life.

Today, Jeanne and Michael are taking time to see where this beautiful beginning may lead two kind souls brought together by shared faith, answered prayers, and the quiet certainty that love, when it’s right, arrives with peace.
